Positive Progress for Africa’s Wildlife – Wild Africa Q2 Recap

We’re excited to share some positive conservation stories from across the continent.

In South Africa, we recently partnered with SANParks, vets and logistics experts to document the translocation of 42 elephants from the main camp in Addo Elephant National Park to the newly incorporated Kabouga section – an area that hasn’t seen elephants in over 100 years!

Meanwhile, a new report from the Wildlife Justice Commission found a significant decline in seizures of pangolin scales and ivory from Africa to Asia between 2020-2024, at a time when law enforcement has been active – a promising sign of progress.

Reflecting on a strong start to the year, we’re inspired by the momentum that continues to build. These milestones are only possible thanks to the unwavering support of our partners, donors, followers and friends. Thank you for standing with us in protecting Africa’s wildlife and wild spaces.
