Wild Africa founders Peter and Corie Knights speak to Forbes about their journeys in conservation and establishing the organisation in Africa “to help protect what was left in Africa,” as well as the pressing challenges facing the continent’s wildlife and wild spaces.
The article highlights Wild Africa’s mission to bring conservation to the forefront through local storytelling, media partnerships, and creative communication campaigns that inspire public support and foster political will for protecting Africa’s heritage.
“We’re trying to promote conservation within Africa, for Africans and by Africans,” Peter told Forbes. “They’ve always cared about it, but nobody’s actually asked them to do anything about it. I see us as providing a soapbox for passionate Africans to talk about their wildlife and their concern for their wildlife.”
“If these animals disappear, in my opinion, humanity is lost,” Corie added.
We are sincerely grateful to Forbes for this wonderful feature and the opportunity to share more about Wild Africa’s work. Read the full article here.
